How to use

One yoga block makes many things easier – two make it complete. With a block in each hand, exercises that were previously simply not possible open up: hands and the floor come closer together, the spine remains long, the breath flows. Whether flat or upright – depending on the height level, the block adapts to your current flexibility and grows with you. Wood brings something that cork and foam cannot: absolute dimensional stability. The block doesn't give an inch, offers reliable support in every position and feels pleasantly warm in the hand. It is also useful outside the yoga mat – as an elevation for strength training or for targeted mobilization.

Here's how you can use the yoga blocks:

Yoga – supporting asanas: Shorten the path to the floor, e.g., in Trikonasana (triangle pose) or Ardha Chandrasana (half-moon pose) – for beginners and those with limited mobility
Yoga – intensifying asanas: Use blocks to make exercises more challenging and deepen into positions
Sitting & relaxation: As an elevation under the buttocks or hands when sitting – relieve the spine, open the hips
Strength training: As an elevation in a push-up position (with two blocks), in lunges with an elevated front or back leg, to increase the range of motion in deadlifts
Mobilization & stretching: Stabilize guided stretching positions, gradually improve flexibility

The rollholz yoga block is made from high-quality alder from the Black Forest and is FSC-certified.

The whole thing is made in our workshop in Freiburg – from the first cut to the final sanding.

The result is a durable, natural product with short transport routes and a clear focus on quality and sustainability.

Care

Our products are easy to care for – in the most literal sense: they need none. Their longevity doesn't suffer if you simply never bother. They last a lifetime – and can be handed down without a problem.

If you do want to treat your product to something, just rub it with a little oil – that brings the natural grain back out beautifully. For heavier marks, sand it lightly beforehand.

The smooth surface is easy to clean and disinfect – ideal for professional therapy use. Wipe it down or disinfect it when needed, let it dry briefly, done.
