How to use

The large Balance Board Set is the most complete package in the rollholz range – for all those who want to do more than just balance, but also regenerate, train and relax. Both boards, the rollholz Pro, two ball sizes and the mini roller together cover every phase of your training: warm-up, strength, balance, fascia training and recovery.

The mini roller under the large board is a particularly accessible combination – also for older or less confident people: The board rolls dynamically back and forth, similar to the large fascia roller, but remains close to the ground. If you tip to the side, you land controlled on the ground and can continue directly. The risk of falling is very low – it is only important to stand wide enough on the board. The mini roller under the small board, on the other hand, placed in the central gap, is an excellent single-axis exercise for the ankle joint: The board rocks precisely in a single plane, thus specifically training the stabilization of the ankle joint.

After the last exercise, you put the boards together – and you have a wooden deck chair that invites you to relax.

These Balance Board exercises show you how to use the set:

large board

with mini roller:Roll dynamically back and forth – safe and close to the ground, also suitable for beginners and older people. Stand wide on the board for optimal stability
with rollholz Pro: If you place the rollholz Pro under the large board, a dynamic, flowing movement is created – the board rolls back and forth in a controlled manner and creates an intense, surf-like riding feeling. Body tension and responsiveness are required: Anyone who goes too far into the movement and does not compensate in time can also lose their balance.
with massage balls: With two balls under the board, a single-axis balancing movement is created – ideal for targeted training of ankle joint stability. With only one ball in the middle, the exercise becomes significantly more demanding, as the board moves freely in all directions.

*For beginners, we recommend getting on at a wall or with another person. We recommend a mat to protect the floor and board. All exercises can be found in the free e-book, which you will receive after purchase.

Material & origin

The wood for the balls & rollers comes from the Black Forest – whether beech, oak, alder or ash. Walnut is of European origin. All the woods are FSC-certified and therefore sustainably managed. Turning also happens in the Black Forest, before each product gets its final sanding in our workshop in Freiburg and a coat of pure linseed oil.

The birch plywood used for the Balance Board comes mainly from Scandinavia and offers high stability, durability and dimensional stability.

Every board gets its final sanding in Freiburg and is finished with real care – plain, functional, with nothing added that isn't needed.

Care

Our products are easy to care for – in the most literal sense: they need none. Their longevity doesn't suffer if you simply never bother. They last a lifetime – and can be handed down without a problem.

If you do want to treat your product to something, just rub it with a little oil – that brings the natural grain back out beautifully. For heavier marks, sand it lightly beforehand.

The smooth surface is easy to clean and disinfect – ideal for professional therapy use. Wipe it down or disinfect it when needed, let it dry briefly, done.

For sustainable training

Die Surfbretter habe ich bisher kaum genutzt und fungieren eher als teure Rucksackhalterung.
Im Nachgang würde ich sie mir nicht mehr kaufen, deshalb nur 4 Sterne, weil es etwas unnötig für mich ist (in einem Gym würde ich das Surfbrett eher sehen), aber hey vielleicht benutzt du es öfters als ich.
