The WaterRower is made by our partner WATERROWER | NOHRD – in Rhode Island, USA, where John Duke invented the machine in 1988. The solid wood comes exclusively from sustainably managed, renewable forests in the American Appalachians. Only straight, kiln-dried solid core wood is used and then finished by hand with oil. Available in several woods: oak, cherry, walnut and vintage. The water tank is impact-resistant polycarbonate; the seat runs on eight ball-bearing polyurethane rollers – wear-free and silent.

Why does the WaterRower offer such good value for money?
The WaterRower deliberately does without expensive displays, overloaded electronics and features you don't need for good training. The value goes into what lasts instead: high-quality solid wood, precise workmanship, a stable build and the natural rowing feel that comes from water resistance.
You get a durable, well-thought-out rowing machine at a fair price – without paying for technical extras you'll never use.
Do I need an app to use the WaterRower?

Which tablet or smartphone works with the app?
Which tablet or smartphone works with the app?
WaterRower Connect works with iOS and Android devices – whether your phone or tablet is from Apple, Samsung or someone else. The age of the device generally doesn't matter, as long as it runs a supported version of iOS or Android.
A tablet is especially nice to use, because the bigger screen makes your training figures easier to read while you row.
How authentic does the rowing feel?
How authentic does the rowing feel?
Thanks to the water and the resistance, very. Sitting in a real boat is different, of course, but for training the evenness of the load is ideal for building strength endurance.
How does the water resistance work?
How does the water resistance work?
The resistance comes from the water in the tank and adjusts automatically to your effort. The faster and harder you pull, the higher it gets.
You never have to pick a resistance level or interrupt your session. You can change your pace intuitively at any moment – from a calm session to hard intervals.
Is the WaterRower suitable for beginners too?
Is the WaterRower suitable for beginners too?
Yes. Because the resistance adjusts automatically to how hard and how fast you pull, you decide how demanding your session is.
That makes the WaterRower as suitable for beginners as for experienced athletes. You can start gently, get used to the movement and build up the intensity step by step.
Can the WaterRower stay set up permanently?
Can the WaterRower stay set up permanently?
Yes. With its calm design and solid wood frame, the WaterRower fits into a living room far more naturally than most fitness machines.
You can stand it upright after training to save space, or simply leave it out as part of the room.
