Material & origin
The NOHRD HedgeHock is handmade by our partner WATERROWER | NOHRD in their own workshop in Nordhorn, Lower Saxony – Made in Germany. The body is stained wood from renewable sources, finished with 0.8 mm premium real wood veneer. The 49 seat blocks are solid core wood. All wooden surfaces are treated with certified hard wax oil. In production, wood and bark are used up completely – there is no waste.

Care
Care
Clean and care for the wooden surface and seat blocks with the NOHRD wood care set. Remove dust with a dry cloth. Don't put it in damp rooms. Check the castors for a tight fit now and then.

Wood types
The NOHRD HedgeHock is made in Germany and has 49 individually sprung seat blocks of solid wood. The body is finished with high-quality real wood veneer. The stool comes in oak, cherry and walnut, and in the Shadow, Club and Vintage finishes.
Oak
Oak stands out with its bold grain and warm tone. It gives the Hedgehock a strong look full of character.
Cherry
Cherry stands out with its warm, slightly reddish tone. The fine grain looks elegant and brings a pleasant warmth to the whole piece.
Walnut
European walnut impresses with its dark, refined tone and elegant grain. For a particularly premium look with plenty of contrast.
Club
The Club look uses beech. It is plain and light, and its hard, dense surface takes stain beautifully.
Vintage
For the Vintage look the oak is stained a brownish tone. The visible grain gives it a rustic charm.
Shadow
For the Shadow look the wood is stained black. The stain brings out the surface texture strongly without hiding the grain.
